Milla Dance studio

Last Updated Nov 22, 2021

Following the November 18 announcements of new restrictions, we are able to re-open and resume indoor, in-person classes with the necessary precautions and rules aligning with current Victorian Government Public Health rules.

Milla Dance is following these rules, and yes, it is unfortunate because creates division. The law has mandated that people that are not double vaccinated against COVID, can't participate in any indoor dance classes. Let's all be respectful and keep being nice while we navigate this difficult time.

  • Hand sanitizer will be used on all students upon arrival.

  • Please scan the QR code to check in and register your attendance at Milla Dance Class. You need to do this for every dance class you take with us. If you don't have a smartphone, please ask the dance teacher to check you in.

  • At the moment we have to check that all students are double Vaccinated, so please show us your vaccination status at the start of your block or term, we only need to see this once. If you don't have a smartphone, you can bring and show your COVID Vaccination certificate. We didn't create these rules, we are dancers and not public health experts.

  • Try to arrive already dressed in your dance attire, we are trying to minimize the use of bathrooms and other rooms.

  • Please bring your own water bottle.

  • Please adhere to social distancing rules by using the indication cones on the floor,  1.5 meters apart.

  • Hand sanitizer will be used on all students upon arrival.

  • If a student is suspected of being ill, they will be asked to go home immediately.

  • In our halls, doors will keep open to avoid touch point contact and increase airflow.

  • Milla Dance will be doing a checklist to keep track of who is attending each class.

We also have pre-recorded classes online that are available for students who are not able to attend our dance classes in person.

Staying well do dance!

Please don't attend Milla Dance classes if:

  • You feel unwell or if you are displaying any of the Covid-19 symptoms.

  • you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days or are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test

  • you are required to quarantine or self-isolate by the DHHS.

  • You have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 10 days.

Number limits

We no longer have limits for indoor settings as long as we keep the 4sqm rules per person. So please keep distancing of 1.5m apart for anyone you don't live with.

Face masks are no longer required indoors, However, you must carry a mask at all times and wear one when physical distancing is not possible.

Please feel free to wear a face mask on the dance floor and respect if others decided to wear a masks.
